Mindful Play is focused on sharing information and activities with families to promote nurturing relationships and healthy development. Like it’s clientele, Mindful Play is still in its infancy. Not sure exactly what it will grow up to be but full of ideas, hope and possibilities that will be pruned and molded similar to the early neural development of a child’s brain.
In my local community of Boulder, Colorado I am introducing playgroups for families. I’ve chosen activities that are fun and engaging but are also focused on promoting your child’s development based on scientific evidence. Currently I am a certified Baby Signs® Instructor teaching classes at the Lafayette Community Recreation Center. I will be introducing workshops teaching
- Infant massage
- Family yoga classes
- Exciting progressive programs that are yet to be released!
After completing my doctorate degree, Mindful Play will expand to include my clinical private practice specializing in working with families during and after pregnancy and young children.
Additionally, Mindful Play will reach a larger audience by sharing activities and information about development and healthy relationships on my blog. The goals are
- Sharing simple, budget friendly family activities
- Providing a place of support, encouragement and information about promoting relationships
- Sharing resources on overcoming those tough developmental milestone challenges
